food allergies and Dietary restrictions
When placing an order please very clearly state your food allergies ahead of ordering. We are not a nut free kitchen. All items produced in our kitchen are produced on the same equipment that processes nuts. We do make plenty of recipes without nuts however we cannot EVER guarantee that something is 100% nut free because of this reason.
weather
Weather is not up to us. We never suggest leaving anything outdoors for an extended period of time. ALL PRODUCTS, unless otherwise notified by The Cakery MUST BE REFRIGERATED! If you are outside and you are sweating and your cake is outside, your cake will melt. 68*-70* is optimal temperature for about 1-2 hours, after that we do not suggest leaving the cake on display.
Air conditioning is not the same as a refrigerator.

transporting cakes and baked goods
Delivery
Local delivery within 5 miles of the Cakery is available for a flat rate of $25. All other deliveries are calculated based on mileage plus an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
Pick up
Custom order pick is at your own risk. Your cake and baked goods must remain FLAT ON THE FLOOR OF THE CAR or in the trunk. NOT on a car seat. The Cakery Fishkill is not responsible for any damage that may occur to a custom order pick up once it has left our shoppe. Once arriving home or at your destination your cake must go in the refrigerator until an hour before serving.
metallics, luster dusts, glitter
We do our best for decorating to match client design requests. Many photos of inspiration cakes fully covered in metallics or glitter seen online are NOT EDIBLE.
please note that Metallics are NOT TO BE CONSUMED and are FOR DECORATION ONLY.
Food Coloring
Our suppliers have until 2027 to recreate the recipes used in all food dyes. We are aware of RED 40 and are making every effort to switch over to alternative food dyes whenever possible. Natural food dye is available upon request for an upcharge. if you would like us to use a natural food dye a minimum of two weeks ahead of your order date is required to source and order it. Natural food dyes are typically made from other consumables/foods, and the result will not the same as a man made food color. We hope that as the products adapt and RED 40 is phased out that there are new alternatives to work with that will provide the colors we all know and expect in cake artistry and the world of custom cakes/baked goods!
